Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2023-02-20T09:52Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2023-02-20T09:52:00-IPS-001 (version 3)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: A sharp increase in magnetic field to ~14 nT, accompanied by a jump in ion density to over 17 particles/cm^3 and of solar wind speed from 370 to 430 km/s. Overnight (during the night time data gap) at STEREO A there has been a corresponding increase in total magnetic field (measuring 13nT at 2023-02-20T09Z after the end of the data gap), indicating a likely CME arrival during the data gap as well.
